Furniture objects, doors and windows within ARCON are o2c based objects, loaded into a completed ARCON designed project. Although most of these objects are created using Auto Desk's 3D Studio Max these objects are unusable within ARCON in their natural 3DS form, because the file size is too large when hundreds of these objects have to be manipulated in a single project. So o2c's first task is to compress the 3DS file format. This then enables 1000's of objects to be stored within a catalogue on a CD.
o2c Composer allows the ARCON 3D user to set animation points within the o2c object and also manipulate/swap the original textures. As thousands of objects were developed to create furniture and architectural elements to support ARCON, it quickly became clear, that o2c was a very powerful tool, and should be developed as a standalone product.
